Need new clutch suggestions for Supercharged 5VZ

I had an LCE Dual Comp installed about 5 years ago and unfortunately the darn thing has started slipping.
Dual Comp Clutch Kit - 5VZ(95-04) (10")

My 3.4L is supercharged with a 2.2 pulley and 7th injector. My tire size is 265/75/16.

I was never happy with this clutch as it was really grabby and when engaging it would behave like it was chattering.

Sooo I need a new clutch and I called LCE again and talked to them and they suggested the Pro Comp clutch. Same pressure plate clamping force but different clutch.
Pro Clutch Kit - 3RZ(95-04) (10")

I have also considered the Marlin, but I am concerned about it not being up to the task.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

There are very fairly priced performance clutch kits on Rock-Auto for the 3rd gen. Seems to be a stage one and stage two available, stage two being the 6 puck ceramic kit.

I have a friend that used the performance clutch kit from RA (car that isn't a 4runner) and he's very satisfied with it, and the price could not be beat.

That's one more option.

Does a performance clutch kit need more pressure on the clutch pedal?

Usually yes. I've read that twin disk clutches are supposed to be more daily friendly. I would say from personal experience on other vehicles that you don't want to get a clutch that's above and beyond your needs. I modded my 4 cyl turbo FWD car (SRT4 pushing 23 psi boost) to about 350 hp/400 torque. First went with a 6 puck sprung clutch from ACT, it was very on/off. A clutch meant for high hp/torque doesn't like to be babied/slipped. I ended up changing it out for a full faced organic sprung disk which was great and more friendly on the street but still held up to a beating on track days.

Did you end up going with the LCE Performance pro clutch?

Nope I went with Marlin, which is basically an OEM clutch combination from a different application. Seco and Aisin.

When I pulled my dual comp clutch the 6 puck side was completely worn and the other side was like new. LCE said I should never have been recommended that clutch as it wasn't meant for slipping. It was meant for dumping only.

My Marlin is now what the truck should have been like in the first place.

0% slipping up a hill in a tall gear. Go with Marlin is my opinion. Otherwise it will me a US or China made clutch.
