A fellow Omaha 3rd gen. I have some OME 906 rear springs (put about 50k on them I think ) you can have for free if you want to do the old Speedy lift (Tundra TRD front, OME 906 rear, Bilstein 5100 shocks). It would be about 1.5-2" lift and go well with 265/75/16 next time you get tires. You can get new front endlinks from O'Reily for $20 each, their MasterPro ones seem to rust the slowest of $20 end links. Got some front and rear poly sway bar bushings you can have too.

I don't think those 16 rims fit the Tundra calipers. There is a guy near Springfield who parts out 3rd gens and tacomas on a continual basis and parting out a 99 if you need random parts.

The TBU mod has two caliper options: 199mm and 231mm. IIRC, the 199mm calipers will fit those rims without modification. With wheel spacers, the 231mm calipers will fit.

What brand of end link is that? Does it use a heim joint in the bottom?

This version has a forged ball joint rather than a Heim joint. These are longer than stock length, however. I wouldn't bother unless you have a 2"+ lift. They are adjustable, but not sure if that means the length can be shortened much. They are not cheap. They are made in Oregon by a forum member's company called Overland Custom Design. Did I mention that they are not cheap?

Master pro front links were $32 the other day... needs some quick while doing other work and found the drivers side was shot... same story a year ago on the passenger side. The master pro rubber bushings were totally shot after a year, I put polys in

I've got a shock list if you want information on the shocks that available, I have a thread that has a Excel document that I update when I get more information it lists all of the current shocks that I'm aware of and can get information for.

Im currently running some Cooper AT3 265/70R16's and dont mind the look even on the saggy suspension, but thanks for the offer!

I'll be looking at the Tundra brake mod once the pads I installed before winter hit are worn. The calipers are pretty crispy and the pistons are getting sticky.

I saw a few the Springfield listing on Facebook Marketplace. I may need to message him for a few cosmetic parts starting show their age. Namely the rear bumper weeping rust and hatch latch.

I use 2nd gen rears in the front and the bushings werent tall enough so using poly bushings. I dont like the poly ones because I think they snap the cheapo end links when they get too rusty or flexed. The sway bar works through torsion not just up/down so poly puts too much stress on them and pops the top off. I dont like the poly bar bushings much either they bind up with grit as soon as the grease washes out. I actually just looked up the part nos for all the OE bushings if anyone wants them. I think poly is probably only good on the steering rack and rear control arms, mostly because you cant seem to buy OE bushings for the rear arms.

Alrighty, other than keeping an eye out for some cheap 5th gen rear springs, I think I got my cart all set now that Spring is finally here.

Next stop will be plugs, wires, and ignition coils.

And eventually get that oil leak and the heater core smell mended...

There's something to be said for keeping it simple and not having to deal with the peripheral crap of lifting, better spent on reliability. Bilstein 6112 front at 0" and 5160 rear with an inch of rake is a good budget set up. Not sure what springs for the rear.

Once she's retired from being my daily, Ill more than likely look into doing more fun stuff with her.

Im just wanting to be able to turn my brain off for longer road trips and the boring drive to visit my parents. XD

Take those lower ball joints out of the RockAuto cart and get them from a Toyota dealer (online for best price). None of the aftermarket lower ball joints have shown to last.

Otherwise, those all seem like reasonable choices.
