Here in Washington state, I see a lot of bone stock 99-02 4Runners being listed and selling for 12-15K all the time. Granted we have no rust in the PNW, but that would sell over here no problem.

That is actually reasonable considering the work put in.

I would actually consider that rig if it was up here. I was actually just thinking about what it would cost to make my rig similar to that and I was near that, without the body off and frame work.
did not know they made wet oklie with a 4runner logo.
what is that to the left of the battery ?

I'd rather buy this one for 15k than that other one for 43k+

Mine isn't nearly as clean, nor does it have bumpers, and I'd be asking at least that...
... if I was dumb enough to sell it. ;)

I've seen that one, too. Crazy... I couldn't do it though. Only way I would is if everything were rebuilt using Toyota OEM parts and I doubt that it is. Don't get me wrong, it's an extremely nice build, but I'm happy with my 01' at 297K...

Not an awful price considering it's not just another typical clapped-out 3rd gen with a bunch of random add-ons. Looks to be a well thought out build, frame-off, etc- Prob worth what he's asking

Certainly not. Just sharing in hopes that it would find a good home!

No doubt! Probably avoid more markups when buying from a private party.
I got my current 2002 4Runner Sport in May 2020 for $4,000 with 230k miles. Luckily the owner was just trying to get rid of it so they could get a car for their daughter. Felt like a bargain.

This is a nice truck with a lot of good mods. If I had a garage to keep it in, I'd be really tempted. I'd want to talk to the owner more, but based on the post, he seems like someone I'd want to buy from. For older and modified vehicles, I'm big on "buying" the owner over the vehicle. Both of these present well at face value and buying a clean rig for, lets say 10k, then building to these specs will run at least the same cost.
