It's great to be able to hear your guys' input on this subject. I'm 90% committed to the partial Black look keeping my current paint on the sides and doing some sort of discreet triple stripes on the fenders like my prev photoshopped photos.

Yea I've been learning a ton about them the past week or two and yeah you can mix basically any paint shade you want with their liner and it'll turn out pretty well. More of a satin version of the paint color but that's to be expected.

It’s needs to be a ‘automotive’ paint; IIRC.

Like; you can’t go to HD or Lowe’s and have them tint it.

Which kind of sucks, for me anyway. I want to do a ‘military theme’ on mine; and planned on using FS36231 (Dark Gull Grey) in Behr exterior; but the Monstaliner Medium Quartz Grey is a pretty close match. VOTE: Full bed liner paint job colors! (Photoshop)

(If you read this; guys have been using the Behr for years with no issues. Cheap; and can be tinted to whatever color your heart desires. VOTE: Full bed liner paint job colors! (Photoshop)

Pretty sure you’ve got to ‘sign up’ to see the pics though. VOTE: Full bed liner paint job colors! (Photoshop))

From what I’ve seen on DIY Bed liner reviews on YouTube raptor liner seems to be the favorite. I’ve done a few diy bedliners on my old Tacoma with not great results (just the bed not the whole truck) can’t remember which brands I used. If I do it this time though I’d way rather have a rhino liner shop do it, seems like it would last longer than DIY. Plus it’s a hassle and I don’t really have a big enough compressor.

Definitely going to vote for the partial lining. Thinking about doing the same on my dorado gold 01 to cure the bad case of over gold haha

2nd this one, would be my pick
3rd kind of thanks for these pictures. ive been wondering what my current rig would look like with black bumpers and my flares need paint so was thinking of painting rear bumper and flares black as I have an ARB ready to install for the front. this gives me an idea what they would look like except I have large flares.

8 quarts of black raptor liner and 400ft of painter's plastic have been officially ordered!

I'm going with the partial black with stripes on the fenders. My bumper kit is arriving this week so hopefully I can do that this weekend and paint next weekend.

had an old friend come over tonight and we went ahead and did the hood because it was bugging me how much of an eye sore it was, even though i’m halfway through my bumper project lol. Used less than 1 (of my 8) bottles

The rest will have to wait another week or two but figured I’d update. I’ll update tomorrow with what it looks like in the sunlight.

A little late now but the hood scoop does come apart - may or may not make it easier in the future!
Looks pretty good!

Better pics:

I went for more of a fine, grainy, rough texture than the orange-peel-y texture you typically see. Sprayed at higher pressure farther away. In-person it looks more matte than the photos. I like how it turned out.

I still need to paint the hood scoop grille with regular black paint. I just didn't want to clog it up with big chunks of bed liner so I taped it off.
