Looks like it'd tip over on a 35º side hill.

$29,000
I mean that is a lot of money for that... with leaf springs... if it was linked and had coils... I don't know. for that kind of money you can buy a 70's seriers land crusier or prado.

Lotta money involved in those builds. Very nice to look at.
I would be too worried someone stealing it if I had something like it.

Meh... the reason I sold my FJZ80 was the track was too wide for my liking. Lots of pinstriping and trail issues, so much worry for a spotter vs the 3rd gens which are just more maneuverable.
This probably has its applications, but I'd rather just buy an FJZ80 with triple lockers, a little lift and 35" if I'm going that route. It would be more reliable (less of a "hackjob") and save thousands.
Plus 240k miles, he basically overbuilt it. For 20k, maybe?

Overbuilt? Yeah. Overpriced? For sure. Would I have made some different decisions if it was my time and money? Yes.
But... do I LOVE seeing rigs like this? Absolutely!!

If it had a 2uz in it, then maybe $20k. But nothing more.

It is sweet for sure but we all have criticisms, mine is why leafs in the front? If you're going to go through all the trouble of doing a SAS, I'd want coils up there. The shackle looks like 1920s tech in the back. Otherwise though, its sweet as heck.

No way he gets 17mpg around town and 19-20 highway with those big tires. I have 33s on mine and get 15-16 around town and 17-18 highway.
