4. New driver side front diff support mount w/ new bushing
5. New adjustable Sonoran Steel panhard bar (her ass end was shifted about 1" over to the passenger side)
6. Strips of aluminum tape to make up the gap between these Method wheel bores and the hub. I don't care what the Method website says, the bore is more than 0.15mm difference. I just ordered 108 to 106.1mm concentric rings that seem to fit perfect (my son had an extra one that I could test).

The lowest hanging fruit would be tires . Did you try new tires as part of your diagnostics?

The Method wheels and Falkan Wildpeak tires only had about 10K miles on them when I bought the truck. I actually did test the truck with the wheels and tires from my old ‘98 right after I bought this 2000 4Runner because I had a hell of a time finding a shop that would pass me on MD state inspection due to the wheel poke. The wheels off my ‘98 were 5 star OEM wheels with 32” DuraTracs. With that combination installed my 2000 4Runner had very little vibration, if any at 60mph. That’s why I decided to shim the wheels on the hub.

Vibration is definitely felt in the steering wheel.

It appears the NAPA 1258 axles are no longer available. Looks like they have a new option available though, the 1733's. Anyone try these out? I know the pictures are sometimes not representative, but they definitely look different than the 1258's.

Specs look good. I’ll bet they’ll work really well.

Those look a heck of a lot better. I wonder if those are actual pics, or a generic pic. The other ones have a tapered body at the DIff Connection and no place to use a Pry bar for removal...

Either the picture or the description is wrong. The description still states "Sliding spine center shaft technology allows for up to a full 40mm more travel than stock OE units for greater suspension travel for off-road and lifted applications." but doesn't show the splined center portion in the picture.

Lol, the idea is not to have to remove them, but I've easily removed them myself

Well I guess my time has come:
So I ordered the TRAKMOTIVE TO8043ET axles at Rockauto for $125 each, that seemed like a steal especially with the 5% discount.
I read this thread and have an idea of what is needed, sounds like 35mm and 40 mm sockets, and a big dead blow hammer? Any other special tools, other than a second set of hands?
Is there a good video of the process, or just follow FSM?

Congratulations, and I'm sorry
SICC price for those axles, man. Awesome!
No need for a 40mm, keep the factory axle nut and castle washer, all you need is a 35mm socket.
I use a 3# deadblow, works fine for me. A second set of hands the first time helps, otherwise it's pretty much the same as OEM.
Grease the clip, line up the splines, compress the axle (inner spring to overcome) and whack it home.

I know, $125 seems like a steal compared to Oreilly.
Any other items I should be replacing proactively while I'm doing this job? Differential drain/fill washers? I'm planning on popping the LBJ rather than removing the bolts, right? Must go look for Timmy's videos on this.

I remove the 4 bolts and just swing the spindle to the rear, that way the OTRE and steering rack aren't limiting access
You will lose some diff fluid so I put a little catch cup under the axle/diff and only jack and pull 1 side at a time. I do the passenger first so the fill plug is on the high side and I can fill after swapping the driver side axle.

So they look identical to the Napa 1258’s I have. I paid $220/axle in December of last year. Are they literally the same axle? Or are they actually made by different companies? It really hurts to see them for such an amazing price on RA vs what I paid for NAPA Online
