Hmm very appealing, would love to hear more about these too. That's a real good price point, almost too good

Tacoma world has a thread on these. Seems like its all first impressions and seeing if it really does back up the articulation claims (it does), but no one has really beat of them off road from what I've seen. I'm going to be getting some in the near future. Axle looks great in theory and still has a lifetime warranty. Curious to see how your experience goes.

There's some reviews on Amazon that are less than favorable, but all of which pertain to Subarus only and all seem fairly old. And that kinda contradicts a quick Google search, which shows a few sites praising them. At the same time I feel like if they were trash that TW thread would've been updated as such
Do keep this thread updated, I'd be curious to know how they hold up

Looks to be a good product. The tech page has good info on it.
Like what was said, it's good. Maybe too good to be true.
One of TrackMotives corporate offices is located in China.

Yes it appears NAPA sells Trakmotive, I saw this and tried to purchase them but NAPA could not locate any for me so I found them on BuyAutoParts.
Constant Velocity (CV) Driveshaft - Front Right - New
Part # :
NCV 941258
Product Line :
NAPA Premium CV Shafts
Important Info :
Extended Travel - High Articulation, For Lifted or Stock Suspension
I scoured the net and found nothing regarding these from a 4runner owner so I guess I am the first. The info they have on the website is respectable and NAPA seems to purchase better parts than the other parts stores so we'll see...
Anyway, I'll be installing these today along with new seals and will let everyone know how that goes. I'm running the TRD coils with 3 perch Billys upfront but they were installed on the second perch which is a bit stiff. Need to call around to see how much to lower it.

I got the regular TO-8043 from napa I haven't installed yet. I thought it was going to be the Cardone one but Napa apparantly uses both Trakmotive and Cardone interchangeably as their Maxdrive CVs. I dont like this Trakmotive the inner housing is longer than stock so presumably less axle angle available. The Cardone ones I have already are pretty much an exact copy of the Toyota CV dimensions. I think I'll take it back and get one of these extended travel if I can find it cheapish. They must have had enough busted regular ones returned by now to figure out how to do make em last for lifted trucks hopefully.
Napa is going to be a rip off it costs twice as much than just getting Trakmotive or Cardone from Rock Auto or whoever. Probably because of warranty.

If you want to know who is making a Napa part download the warranty pdf and it will say in there. Sometimes you have to google the phone number to get the company name.

Well they went in and the odd thing is that there is no left and right? They are the same part.

Isn't that the norm? I don't recall my CVJs being marked left and right, but it was also quite a few months ago

It's the same part but stores usually list them as LH, RH because it's easier I deal with I guess. The front diff seals and stuff are different on each side but cv axles are the same on both.
