A few here have had a new tps resolve their idle problem.

so i replaced my tps sensor last august (code came up, but no issues), and now im getting the p0505 thats the IAC. i removed it and cleaned it to the best of my ability, but idle still likes to be around 2k. if i unplug it, i drop to 1400 (where its kinda always been idle since i bought it 2 years ago). im about to bite the bullet and buy a 140-160$ non oem one from rockauto and hope it fixes the issue at least of the code.

I have never had or been able to get my idle down to the recommended 750+-50 area, without taking a hose off and using my hand to stop it. my TB plate does have a small gap all the way around, and can move slightly, but i feel like that cant be the main reason.

If you decide to go the trial and error route, you might start with the TPS sensor just because you can find an OEM one on eBay for ~$30 right now and it’s easy to replace.

Or, if you go the IAC route, the cheapest I found an OEM IAC is $240. A new throttle body which includes both a new IAC and TPS will run just over $100 more. Plus you get a brand new TB. Food for thought.

any recommendation on the whole sha-bang? ome only due to most parts seeming to not be worth it on the aftermarket area
