UPDATE: Took it to a shop and turns out the rear drums were warped. 2 brand new sets of rear drums from Autozone were warped right out of the box. Unbelievable. Bought OEM drums from toyota and the problem is fixed.

I'm glad they were able to figure out your problem for you.

Lesson learned, same thing happened to me on my previous car (2001 Subaru Forester). I replaced the rear drums with some Chinese from 1A Auto, I was going nutz from the vibration.. I put the OEMs back on, problem went away.. they were not centric.
Since then and whenever possible, I only buy OEM replacement parts for engine, suspension and brake components.. OEM has the best research and development as well as durability.

Glad you were able to work it out.

It's really odd that you weren't able to feel the shaking when you pulled the e-brake handle. It must be way out of adjustment. Nevertheless, glad you finally got this figured out.

Could you tell me the pros and cons for getting front brake aftermarket brake hoses ($15-25) vs Toyota OEM brake hoses ($100). Do I really need Toyota OEM?

Also do I need to get a brake flush or is brake bleed adequate?

Good brake bleed exchanging the fluid is what you after. It's up to you if you want to use oem rubber flex lines or use aftermarket..

You'll need to define those terms... They sound the same to me! As long as you don't get air up in the ABS actuator, you just need to get clean fluid through the lines and to the calipers.

That is up to you. The OEM ones lasted 20 plus years. So Time will tell how mine aftermarket hoses will last.. :-)

Bleeding brakes - just adding lost brake fluid and ensuring no air

Brake Flush - removing all old brake fluid and replacing it with new brake fluid

Depends on the fluid color.. Dark or almost black. Best to empty reservoir and put new fluid in with a good bleeding.

Clear fluid just bleed the brakes for no air. As water an containmenants cause rust in the brake system.
