Worst Ride Ever! Very disappointed....
Alright so I ordered a Bilstein 5100 and OME 881 3” lift kit through SRQ. When I installed them I also installed JBA upper control arms, new bushings, LBJ, etc. I have the springs set on the lowest setting for the 881. They are so stiff and rides terrible! Bouncing around everywhere! Zero compression on the front struts. Anybody else have this setup and have a different ride quality? I brought it to my friend who owns a professional shop and he even said that it rides like the shocks are about to explode. The clips holding the spring seat are even bending! What do you think I should do?

Did you get more lift than expected in the front? If you can see bending spring seat clips I’m guessing you put the spring perches on upside down. The spring seats hang down over the clip hiding it from view.
Post up a pic.

I would call Bilstein US tech support directly and get some help diagnosing the issue.
Edit - What Kanoe said.

I think the only time I remember reading about negative feedback for ome 880 or 881 is when they were either paired with ome shocks or positioned too high on bilstein 5100s. Since you put yours on the lowest setting it probably is an error in installation. If that ends up being the case, I'd like to hear your thoughts on that setup once it's corrected.

Yeah, if you can see the c-clip for the front shock spring seat, the seat is upside down. You are basically topped out fully on the front suspension - which would ride horrible.

I got a good chuckle out of this, and not in a rude way, thank you. Sorry you have to tear it all apart again, I hate spring compressors

Hopefully someone finds this thread and learns from his mistake! I have had a few adventures in the past 20 years that required me to take apart/put together the same thing 3 or 4x before it was right...

If it helps the situation any, you are not the first to do this. There have been many similar threads since I joined the forum. Some of them have been "professional" shops that got it wrong too. It'll ride better once they are flipped!

Oh, boy. Yeah, 3 clip AND 881's with upside down perches? That means no suspension - until the clip pops out.
Then its no suspension in the other direction.

Oh dang, evidence!
I had to go for 3 attempts between second guessing something, then not liking the perch height i chose, Then my buddy walked by and said the driver side sitting slightly lower. Me being slightly annoyed and thinking I put a coil on the wrong side or something ridiculous. No, that's why they sell the 10mm shim... I'm not doing it a 4th time.
