Bypassing. I’ll attach some photos here, though they may not be great

I recently put in a new radiator, so I'm OK with series or bypass - what would you recommend?

I have the same cooler (TruCool 4589) I used 3/8" ID hose and bypassed the radiator. The LPD operates similar to a thermostat but based on viscosity/pressure rather than temperature. Temperature/viscosity/pressure all change according to temperature so it's just a different way of determining if the fluid needs to be cooled or not. I haven't had any issues this way, but I live in the south where it doesn't freeze much during winter.

Awesome, good to see temps that low with your cooler bypassing the rad. I don't have a tranny temp gauge but am running a trucool 4590 (11x11x1.5). Its a crazy big cooler but not seeing temps still can make me uneasy. After seeing your numbers i'm pretty sure i'm always ok towing in the summer.

That's a big boy for sure & 48 plates. A lot of the 45XX series LPD coolers are hard to find in stock right now, but that one is available. I can't easily locate a 4589. Did you mount it on the pass side of condenser?
Edit - I like that the Tru-Cool stuff appears to be made in Canada by Dana/Spicer.

Image isn’t uploading I guess. Basically installed it front and center and had to modify the hood latch mount.
This was the best place I could fit it. Had to cut off the bottom mount for it to bolt up but its been fine getting beat up off road for 15,000 miles so i'm happy.

Nice - I appreciate the visual - tight fit indeed.

I offset mine to the passenger side to to get it lined up more with the fan blades instead of in the dead center. Doing that I had to space the horn out to clear the cooler. I used the hose that came with the cooler.

Yeah that's what I was going to do. I don't particularly want to remove the center bracket. Did you have to also? I have some aftermarket Hella horns and i don't mind relocating one permanently.

The hood latch support is necessary, that definitely needs to stay! If you are creative, you can make extra space if you need it. I was able to mount my cooler (TruCool LPD4921) behind the hood latch support with some creative mods to the condenser mounts:

I mounted mine to the condenser so I just pulled it to get it out of the way until I had it zipped to the condenser.
Edit. I thought I’d go to my 97 Limited Puppy Hauler thread and snag a picture of it installed but the pictures are gone.

DUH! Sorry - I made a stupid assumption (that you had deleted the support permanently). I can be pretty daft. - getting up there in dog years.
