Is my timing belt off a tooth?

Decided to do a little inspection today after doing a few things that clued me in to check my timing belt.

Removed Ignition, and tested vacuum while cranking engine Got between 1 and 2" Hg, and it was bouncing between the two. (not steady)

Noticed excessive? air being pulled through PCV valve at idle and low throttle. makes a clicking sound while at idle.

Vacuum at idle is about 18" Hg

Have redone a lot on this vehicle which was done improperly by a previous owner/shop.

Stinky smell at WOT?

Fuel trims are ok, slightly positive (3%) in general. Its hard to say whether I'm having power issues.

Took off my timing belt cover to look at the notches. Used a scope to see the bottom crank, a little tricky to line up and know for sure. Any experienced folks want to weigh in?

That's normal for cranking.

Noticed excessive? air being pulled through PCV valve at idle and low throttle. makes a clicking sound while at idle.
Remove the PCV valve carefully and shake it. If it doesn't rattle it needs replaced.

Vacuum at idle is about 18" Hg
Normal vacuum depending on elevation

Probably unburnt fuel. If you haven't changed the oxygen sensors or don't know when they were changed then I would recommend replacing them with the appropriate denso fuel/oxygen sensors.

If your timing was off you would have reduced power and probably misfires/stutters. The only way to know for sure is to take both the timing covers off so you can look at it straight on.
My thoughts in bold.

I thought PCV valves should rattle when you shake them up and down?

You're right. I fixed it in my original statement. Thanks for catching that.
