What’s strange to me about the duratracs are how mixed the reviews are. My neighbor only got about 25k out of a set on his super duty. Said he wouldn’t buy another. some towing, the snow traction is insane while we were up in the mountains with the snowmobiles.

Guy I work with said it’s the best set he’s ever owned? Third guy said it was flat city.

The online reviews are really mixed also. For what it’s worth, if they offered a three ply sidewall, C rating, 265/75/16, that would be my pretty everything I’d want in a duratrac.

Instead I ended up with a Kanati Trail hogs. It’s essentially a Duratrac looking knock off in an E rating and 3ply sidewall. Noise isn’t bad, but you do hear them. Traction has fantastic off-road. It’s cutting a little easier than I had hoped for on the tread blocks though. That’s said, Idaho rock tends to be on the sharp side of things. Price is right on the kanatis though.

Hard to say what the next one will be. Maybe a ko2 c rated or a km3. Maybe I’ll just buy another set o fkanatis, they seem to be one of the few really aggressive all-terrain, three ply, and snowflake rated tires that exists.

The reviews are VERY mixed on the duratrac. I chalked most of the reviews up to people never having good much experience with big lugged tires and bit the bullet buying direct from Goodyear’s site. Knew they’d back it up if I hated them or couldn’t get balanced (i’ve worked at a tire shop). Had some maxxis Bighorn MT’s before… now those were loud. I definitely blew it and got some poor wear on them which didn’t help. But dang. Went to the Falken Wildpeak after that experience. If the sidewall wasn’t so ugly I’d have another set of those Falkens. Good looking tread and supple for commuting to work with the load ratings they offer ( I think I was lookin for a smaller size that kept me the P series on that vehicle).

I will say, worth spending an extra 1-200 to get the look AND performance you want. Sucks having brand new rubber and thinking you should have bought a different set.

I have a feeling the mixed reviews are due to improper air pressure for C and E rated tires since the right air pressure makes a huge difference. There is also a vast difference in the tires weight with C vs E (C being closer to OEM). I wonder if the majority of poor reviews are due to E load and/or incorrect air pressures?
Its crazy to hear some say the Duratracs are quiet while others say they are noisy, its such a vastly different opinion. Somethings got to be wrong.

I went with my Duratracs in a C load since i have a lot of friends that have fleets of trucks using them and they are very happy with them when it comes to traction/durability and yes even quiet. lol
