Don't know where the hell you're getting this info, no 3rd gen ever came with cabin air filters. 4th gen addition.

You may ADD one, check out post 10 here: cabin air filter on 99 4r
Seeing how dirty all the vehicles I own that Do have a cabin air filter, I can imagine easily it would help keep the A/C evaporator cleaner, although my A/C doesn't seem to need any help even in central Texas' H&H weather 8 months out of the year.

A simple "there is not one" would suffice. #angerissues. Please don't reply to my inquiries I don't need your negative input.

There isn't one. There was an air filter attachment sold on the surfs that would go where the dome light is.

Really Dude? #angerissues? Strange that you somehow read anger into this. Try #annoyed. Also, type "3rd gen 4runner" before all of your online searches. There are lots of differences between the different generations of 4runners.

I really like the way BMW 3 series 6th gen has their cabin filter.
The cabin filter is housed into a plastic garnish that fits over the cowl at the base of the windshield. I think its a clever design.
And since the intake for our hvac is in that same area at the base of the windshield, it would be nice if someone with fab skills made a plastic cowl (or an aluminum one) that houses cabin filters.
That cowl would replace or install on top of that grill looking thing. I think it could look cool and be functional.

If you need to search for anything else, I've found this 3rd gen specific google search very helpful: https://www.google.com/search?q=site...4dUDCA4&uact=5
EDIT: Don't ever go on pirate4x4
