I've tried a variety of covers at a variety of price points and they all fail at the same spot. When my big butt slides across the seat to get in/out eventually the seat fabric or straps fail. I'm 250lbs, no running boards and have to step up into the seat. So by butt often slides across the seat. Everything I have tried, even the thick canvas seats is strapped under the seat with flimsy little elsatic straps and hooks.
Does anyone know of any that will cover the seat and has stronger straps/buckles?

only way I found that is tolerable is :
get high density foam, fill up the holes in the seat
get large roll or pcs of vinyl from amazon use spray glue and hair drier to stick it on the holes and ripps
for less than 40$ and 30 min of your time you will get something you can live with. if the corners of the vinyl starter to peal , just glue them down again with a bit of spray glue or just cut out the excess, make sure you have large piece so it is not an issue for later
if that does not work your best option is a good seat from junk yard for 150$ or so and just replace it.
I mean these cars are made of vinyl always in heat and sun, no vinyl would last 20 years of that without UV treatment and conditioning which no one really does...
I like to see what people came up with
also that steering wheel is probably falling apart, foam coming off by now ,
it is not hard to replace, just the middle is the airbag and you have to keep your original
the 10$ steering wheel cvers from amazon will improve the situation and last a while
