Question Prices Are Crazy - What Should I List My 2001 T4R For?

Hey Guys

I decided to sell my 2001 T4R Limited but with people going crazy with prices i don't know what reasonable is...

2001 4Runner Limited
230K Miles
White
Leather
Heated Seats
Power Seats

Runs Beautifully
Good Engine
Almost zero rust

Will need a new Radiator (Hairline Crack)
Has AC leak somewhere

So, what would be a reasonable listing price,
Please add your opinion in the poll.

Thanks in Advance...

Do you want the money or to be free the 4r? If money, do the radiator yourself and put forth a smidge of effort on tracking down the AC leak. "needs nothing till next oil change" vehicle fetch more money and sell faster.

If you just want it gone, then price it accordingly.

As for price, so long as it's not beaten within an inch of its life (looks wise), you're easily north of $5k for my local market (Birmingham/Atlanta). Ship it off to the NE or NW and you're probably above $10k. As for your local market, who knows...

I agree with this completely. Put a little extra work into and you'll fetch a much higher price. I used to flip 4Runners at a profit and having all repairs done and a good wax & detail can fetch up to $1000 or more on the final sale price. It's worth the time and effort.

Used car prices across the board are insane right now. Year over year, used auto prices have risen over 30% due to less new cars being available and the prevalence of government financial stimulus. That means your supposed $3500 4Runner is now worth $4500. In my area, a similar 4Runner would go for about $6000. Now they are going for $8000 or more in a single year. My best advice is to list it high and come down from there. No sense in rushing a sale by trying to sell it at a bargain.
