Fixing bent/destroyed alignment tabs

I ordered a combination of:

Total Chaos 96-04 Tacoma 4WD/96-02 4Runner Lower Control Arm Cam Tab Gussets $125
Please Wait... | Cloudflare

Poly Performance "Taco Tabs" Alignment Cam Delete Kit for 96-02 Toyota 4Runner / 96-04 Tacoma $100
Please Wait... | Cloudflare

My alignment tabs are so messed up from the PO that I can't even get the vehicle to hit close to 0 degrees of camber fully maxed on the cams. Has anyone in here had a positive/negative experience with either product?

I remember reading a post of a member having wiped out tabs. So I looked undermine to see what shape their in. I could see some damage on mines.

My second to the last alignment tech here was not that smart. A tool box full of tools. And he uses channel lock pier or vice grips on my new fresh tie rods to adjust them. It left bite mark gouges on the itr. I could imagine what he is doing to my alignment tabs.

Don't know why he didn't use a open end wrench on the itr/otr.

Oh well, interested in what the member have to say. I may be needing those tabs too.

I'm not familiar with that cam eliminator kit, but another member on here (I can't remember who) is using these and had only good things to say about them: Alignment Cam Eliminator Plates
Edit: here's a short thread relevant to them
Alignment cam bolt eliminator plates??

I went and watched a couple of the boys racing on them, they're crazy stout. I could only pray that I have a +3.5 width LT setup in the future (I'll be set up at least 10% for it now)

Hopefully this kit will also handle the abuse like the OPT kit does. They show a couple of short videos of them hitting 3-foot desert whoops at 20-35 MPH, but you never know what the quality will be until they show up.

That was painful to read, it's really sad when somebody uses the wrong tools for the job. I'm not completely innocent of this either, but how does a dedicated mechanic shop not have the tool?

The original rack's ITRE/OTRE was chewed up until it was round with teeth marks. I had to take it off with large vice grips + a giant pipe wrench because open-end tools would no longer bite enough. I align my vehicle in my driveway now because I don't have any local shops that I trust enough to set things correctly without damaging parts.

I pray these ruined tabs being replaced with a major upgrade will make it never be a problem again in combination with the cam delete tabs.

Could you not just straighten the tabs and weld some 1/4" key stock to either side to support them. Only other option would be to remove the LCA, grind down/drill out the 2 spot welds holding tabs in place, and find a donor rig and repeat and replace with tack welds.
