3.4L Downpipe option

Hey folks, anyone ever fit the taco downpipe #17410- 07070 on a FED emission 3.4L 4R, it appears to match up looking at it except it has a 2 bolt flange on the downstream where it meets the Cat, which could be cut off or a matching flange added to solve the difference. Reason being is that when I changed my upstream FED O2 I noticed a crack around the O2 bung to pipe welds causing a leak, and I'm sure I'll burn through it trying to patch it. My OE cat works fine and as I'm sure anyone who has priced the 4R one peice downpipe and cat will understand why I'm trying to avoid that purchase. And aftermarket pipe, Cat and O2 studs are junk compared to the OE Cat and reusable O2 sensor studs. Here's a link with a real photo of it for future reference, really tempted to go for it and report back but thought I'd check with the masses to see if it had been done..

From what I remember from my header install, the pipes are not the same as there was separate instructions for 4Runners and Tacomas on where and if the exhaust had to be cut and a flange welded on. That doesn't mean that you can't find a way to get it to work though.

That might be the case for Single outlet crossover pipe found on Cali emissions, and 01-02 4R, but the Fed emissions 4R and older taco usually have 2 pipe flange that "y" at the down pipe (not the crossover pipe), I've seen them on older 1G taco's and appear to be this exact same part linked below, I'm not worried about adapting the downpipe to the cat, just wondering if the 2 pipe flange is the same. Link of current FED downpipe on the 4R. I'm pretty close to rolling the dice that they are a match, I find I highly unlikely the early Fed emission Taco and early Fed emission 4R have different crossover pipe flanges. But you never know since the JDM gas Hilux crossover pipe goes under the trans, not over the bellhousing like USDM 4R's..
