Cleaning undercarriage

I guess everyone is talking about it, so I will to. This whole week I've been cleaning the undercarriage of my 4Runner. Started with the rear diff area, the the front and soon the middle. Started with spraying a anti rust krud kutter and brushing off the loose rust. After that I rinsed it off and sprayed fluid filmed to protect the frame. It's been a long and slow process. There's only so much of being under the car I can handle with it being 90 degrees here.

Either way.. the rust wasn't too bad and I'm making great progress. Here's a pic of the rear diff

If you live in CA, why the fluid film? Live on the beach and drive a lot in sand or something?
