Ash tray track

I'm not a smoker, never will be, but the ash tray on my 4runner is loose and I want it fixed. One of the little plastic tracks that the ashtray slides into is missing on my 4runner and I can't find a part number.

Anyone know the part number?

While I'm at it what is a suitable replacement LED for the ash tray light? I want something that matches the oem bulb but will not need replacing so often like the original incandescent bulb.

It's been a while since I replaced mine. I'm about 95% sure it is a #24 bulb. What I do know for sure is that you can use a white LED as a replacement and still have the stock color. The green color you see comes from a piece of green plastic between the bulb housing and the drawer.

As for the ash tray slides, it's probably easiest to pull a complete ash tray out of a wrecked 4Runner.

I bought #74 LEDs for my '96 SR5 (194s for the panel I think).

And I can't find specific part numbers for those white plastic rails but the ash receptable "holder" is 74104-89108. I had mine floating around in the back with the ashtray for a couple years before I glued them back in. Seeing the $53 price tag for that holder makes me glad I kept 'em!

Thats funny I was sure the bulb would be the same as the one in the glove box which is a number 37 bulb. So a drop in LED retrofit for a 24 will do the job.

That 24 bulb looks similar to the one that I took out in the gauge cluster (back light), if I separate the gauge cluster bulb from the base can I use it?

Nope. The glove box is a #74 which Sylvania apparently refers to as a 37. The Sylvania part number for a #24 is 2721.

That doesn't make sense because Sylvania also makes #74 bulbs that are similar.

Interesting. It looks like Sylvania's #37 and #74 bulbs are identical except for wattage and lumen ratings.

I am using a 37 in a 74 application, working fine so far. We'll see if the bulb fails prematurely.
