If you're still waiting for your headlights, my advice would be to try to get a refund and cancel your order. TEQ Customs can do anything BXBuilt can do and they actually deliver in a timely manner.

I've had a bad feeling in my gut for a while, but looks like BX Built has officially done a runner. Website and social media accounts are completely gone – along with my money from an order placed in Nov 2021.

BX is done
SRQ Fab was one of BX's dealers and they've been ghosted, BX is out of business. SRQ advises that anyone who's ordered directly from BX to reach out to their credit card companies.

I was just thinking this morning if they were still in business and how far behind they were. That really sucks. I don’t understand why there isn’t a reputable company that can do projector headlights in a timely manner.

There are, they're just busy doing headlight builds instead of constantly bullshitting people and pandering to "influencers" to get more suckers. I remember Tim pushing BX on the GXOR facebook group and pretty much had a "don't care they took care of us" even when several members commented on/showed proof of BX's shitty work.

Another case of If you see something you really want, get it now. No telling how long some small fabs will hang in there before they exit the market like Savage (honorably) or Shrockworks. Choose the lead times you're willing to tolerate carefully these days.

Such clowns....this was my last email interaction with them....
On 01 FEB:
Hi Daniel,
Jan 23rd has come and gone….if you would, please just cancel my order and issue the refund to the card associated with the order.
Thanks very much,
Greg
No Response
On 16 FEB:
Daniel,
Is it safe to assume at this point that I will not be seeing my parts, and you have essentially stolen my $400? Im not trying to be a pain, but generally in business, when money is exchanged for goods, if the goods are not delivered, and the money is not returned, its considered theft. At this point, 14 months after the initial order, I have neither the purchased goods, nor the refund of my money.
Any response would be greatly appreciated.
Greg
The response:
We are not taking your money we are for sure behind and pushing to get catch up. Still building and checking emails at 8pm

Thanks for talking shit about me. Not appreciated. You're making a big assumption with your asinine comment that I had a "Don't care attitude because my buddy got his lights". At the time of me posting my video of installing BxBuilt headlights on my buddy Thanh's GX470, I wasn't fully aware of the BXBuilt reputation. From what I saw of the light builds that Thanh got, they looked pretty good. And, I didn't get shit out of this deal as an "Influencer" to pander BxBuilt headlights. I made the video because my buddy Thanh paid full price for the headlights and he thought it would make a good video for my channel. You label me an "Influencer" like I'm some ditsy good looking girl shaking her ass on Tik Tok making worthless videos. Anyone that knows our Timmy the Toolman channel wouldn't label us as "Influencers". My buddy Sean and I are "Content Creators" who have saved people a whole f*cking lot of time, money and aggravation with the videos we've made over the 7+ years we've been doing it.
What I didn't like about some of the people commenting on GXOR Facebook page was that they were professing how easy it is to build your own headlights but weren't offering much in the way of how to go about doing it. So, I challenged mainly one guy to back up what he was saying. The guy couldn't really produce shit and just talked mostly in a general way of how to do it. He pretty much said look up videos and tutorials on it and talked out of his ass. You see, if I tell people something is doable as a DIYer, I provide a detailed video to show them how to do it.
So Ed, nice try lumping me in with the BxBuilt A-hole that has ripped off a whole bunch of people. My crime is making a helpful video that happens to feature BxBuilt headlights. I gave my honest opinion about the lights when we made the video. They seemed to be pretty well built and they functioned like they should.
I recently considered taking the video down, but it still serves a purpose of showing people how to swap out their headlights on a GX470. To warn people about BxBuilt, I wrote a pinned comment to let people know I can no longer support them due to their long lead times and very poor customer service rating. I recently did an addition to that comment letting people know it looks like BxBuilt has gone out of business and potentially screwing over a whole bunch of people. I said potentially, because maybe, Big Maybe, the owner will refund people their money. I'm guessing that probably won't happen.
So Ed, I think I'm owed an F*cking Apology.

For anyone that has ordered Bxbuilt headlights and still not received them I just saw on Facebook that TEQ Customs is offering to help those customers get headlights built by TEQ for a lower price. Reach out to them via email at [email protected] with your Bxbuilt order information.

I met the guys who own and manage TEQ Customs in Raleigh, North Carolina. Hunter is the owner and Miles is the manager. I was visiting the Raleigh area with my buddy Thanh to film videos with East Coast Gear Supply and this guy Jamie contacted me and wanted to throw a little 4runner meet-up for us. We met at the TEQ Customs shop and all the dudes were really cool. Sean and I will be making a video soon showcasing their headlights.

One of the comments I read from TEQ said that the projectors they use are made by the same company that Bxbuilt got their led projectors from.
Also saw a statement from SRQ Fabrications (which sold Bxbuilt headlights) that they are stepping up in house production and will fulfil all orders of Bxbuilt headlights purchased through them for no additional cost, but they are asking people to be patient and understanding.
