It's definitely high on my priority list. A couple years ago the front driver side suspension got completely rebuilt after my brother smacked the wheel into a concrete barrier, but they left the other side alone so it's still all original, probably to cheap out. On the driver side you can see the LBJ all nice and new and the other side just looks sad. Probably should just get the whole front end rebuilt so at least both sides are the same.

I switched over my 3rd gen to a daily driver about 2 years ago.

New plugs and wires made it feel smoother. I also change air intake filters pretty routinely. I use napa gold for those. They're affordable and seem to filter really well in this dusty southern TX area.

I also promptly replaced the radiator with an OEM Toyota one, with new hoses. My radiator wasn't bad but it was the original OD green colored one and I was afraid because of its age. I decided against an external tranny cooler, and will monitor my radiator for age/wear.

Next is bushings for me. I was under the truck last week and noticed several that are pretty bad.

If you lift your truck be ready to change out end links and cv axles, or reboot your cv axels. Mine threw grease shortly after lifting and my end links ball joints are shredded.

Stick with OEM on bushings.

It looks like I was wrong about the suspension being fully rebuilt on only one side, I had a closer look and it's just the LBJ on the driver side that's new. The upper ball joints on both sides are toasted too so now priority is just replace all the ball joints and bushings. I had a look through my big stack of invoices and it looks like the outer tie rods are fairly new though. I also checked out the PCV valve and it looks like it might have been replaced at some point because it does not look OEM. So, new ball joints and bushings it is.

Clean the OTHER ends too, body ground and engine ground were both issues on mine. I ended up doing a partial "Big 3" with stuff I had on hand, which resolved a number of niggling issues (like, the power seats wouldn't work unless the engine was turning over... was something that constantly annoyed as my wife is 5'4 and I'm 6'4)
