3rd Gen recalls

So I finished checking my mother in laws car for a possible recall and it needed one. So it prompted me to check on my '02 SR5. Sure enough I see 2 for it. The first one is: Safety Recall 50J - Toyota Front Suspension Lower Ball Joint. The second one is for freezing rear brake lines but it says for low ambient weather or deep snow so not sure it will affect me. My question is before I schedule an appointment, how was the process and how long did it take.

That's all going to depend entirely on the dealership. You should ask them. For best results call ahead to schedule having the recall performed.

Easiest way to check recalls would be to download the CARFAX Car Care app and from there type in your vehicle details and check for recalls there. I know it works because on my Honda it told me to get the takata airbag recall done at the dealer until I got it done and it went away.
