another brake pulse isssue

so my new to me ...3 months...at some point in its life it got the TBU........quality ?
this is a recent issue like started last week..amd night temps on the mid 30's....alaska
so i live at the top of a hill...1.2 miles down to the flats.....in the morning the brakes act like a bad rotor. shakes,,steering wheel wants to flop back and forth. today was like...wow...downshifted to get to bottom of hill.
when i get to the flats....nothing even testing in a practice panic stop situation.. I can even take my hands away from steering wheel....but not too far....all day no problem.. nice smooth stops. nothing....i can go home and hours later go back down the same hill and no issue, no wobble, no pulsing. Seems to be only when it has sat overnight.
ive delt with bad rotors b4 but they are usaually continoius problems in all braking situations
maybe crap pads....
ideas ?

2000 4runner with TBU

Sounds like the rotors are rusting overnight and that’s what’s causing your issue, have you made a point to look and see how rusty your rotors are in the morning?

Pads possible. Do the rubber flexs lines look good? I guess they can collapse with age and cause issues.

I had a similar problem with an intermittent front end vibration while braking. I resurfaced the rotors and it took care of my issue. I think I had a hot spot/glazed spot that wasn't gripping the pads correctly until the rotor warmed up some. OEM pads and rotors by the way.
