Please provide an example of this happening, because I'm very confident in saying the chances of that occurring are between slim and none. That's kinda like saying don't bother locking your door because someone can open it with a plasma cutter

I bought a second 4runner while this one was stolen. '99 with a rear locker and manual transfer case. The 99 isn't built out and needs work but I'm considering building a new one and selling my old one. I might list them both in all honesty -- I just don't have room for two vehicles. I just need to end up with only one these two 4runners before I move this Spring.

Gotcha, best of luck brother! The ‘99 seems like a bit of a unicorn these days so that’s good to sell and great to keep as well

no example. but i've seen a steering wheel that has been damaged after a collision and found it easy to cut it with a hack saw.

i presume a car thief would surveil the prospect car first then go back to steal it

It's great that you managed to get it back, but can you do anything to improve the security of your apartment building's garage? It can happen again, and you need to make sure that your car is actually safe. I have my own garage, and I installed a security system from ajax a while ago, so I think you can do something like that as well. Maybe you'll have to talk with the property management company beforehand, but I think it'll be worth it. I'd do anything for it not to happen again.
