I was going to fab up something like this when the time comes.

I spray that back area with a protectant oil every few months, and keep the drain holes clean of road grime.

I have the replacement pieces that Toyota sell. The rust is not really bad it’s in one are where the piece gets weld on that looks kind of weak. . I called another shop they told me 1200 but they would fab. Everything. I feel more comfortable using Toyota replacement pieces.

Those plates are really fairly think new. I just haven't seen those plates rusted. Other damage is around the frame elsewhere... Maybe your luck is better then mine..

So has anyone relocated the shocks outboard and not had to run spacers on the wheel hub?
