2000 Limited auto Vacuum line question

2000 Limited 3.6, auto, e-locker(button on 4x4 shifter)

I had to replace the transfer case on this limited. Used the correct transfer case, A340F. Somebody has messed around with the old transfer case, rounded bolts, wrong bolts, etc. Installed the new transfer case and discovered 2 vacuum ports without hoses.
1st port... Below the 4x4 shifter, pointed forward, in the shifter mount that's bolted down with 4 bolts, to remove 4x4 shifter.
2nd port... Just in front of the transfer case, but in the transmission, passenger side top, pointing out towards the passenger side.
These ports are maybe 5 inches from each other. Now, I'm assuming one vacuum line connects the 2, but I really hate to assume in my old age. I've looked for posts. I've watched videos. I've looked at vacuum schematics, but have been unable to connect the dots. Am I correct that these 2 ports need to become one with a vacuum hose?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I THINK you’re describing a breather hose that connects the t case to a void above the transmission?

Here’s some photos of my A340F (that’s the transmission designation) and my transfer case (VF2A I think). I know we have different transfer cases (I think yours would be the VF3AM ), but still, hope it helps:

Brother,
You solved everything with your response and pics. I mis-posted. I had the shifter quarter turned and everything makes sense now. Thank you
