$25k for a rig with 185k miles? For that price does it somehow manage to give you blow jobs every time you drive it?!

Clean, zero-rust, 5-speed, 4x4 - that's how the market values these currently.

Crank window yet a V6, now that's an interesting combo. Its a clean example, but I feel like the manuals are getting so overpriced that swapping it might be the better option, especially if you can do some of the straight forward work yourself. Get a clean California 4runner with pink milkshake for reduced price, swap in a R150f, bam! Now you got a solid transmission in a good vehicle for a fraction of the price.
Honestly BAT always has stuff selling for 2x what it should. Its a website used by rich people who can't be bothered to hunt down a 4runner on craigslist/FBM, and would rather overpay for the convenience of having it served up on a golden platter. But its to my benefit, I already own one so I'll watch these green arrows and hope nothing happens to my 4runner.

Truck prices are stupid high across the board. Can't believe how many $100k pickup trucks I see driving around doing nothing.

Money is pretty easy to come by these days, for now.
We’ll see how long the McMansions and the superduty payments last when the bottom falls out this go round.
It feels like no one seems to remember their lessons from the last time things got goofy. Short memory I guess.

Absolutely nothing OEM about that nasty stereo or the tweeter pods on the door cards. Looking at the previously sold listings there is no rhyme or reason as to why some sell for silly money. Manual tranny perhaps?

Look at the pictures of the underside, and that will show you which ones will sell for silly money on BaT and which ones won't.
A true untouched and unrusty and ridiculously clean underside? Money will flow. A little rust, or a rattle canned frame (like that '99 Highlander that sold a week ago) and the wallets will snap shut.
1999 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD 5-Speed for sale on BaT Auctions - sold for $9,800 on October 15, 2021 (Lot #57,429) | Bring a Trailer
Granted, more miles on that one, but really, it was the rattle-canned frame that knocked off at least 10K in value.
