Heater control valve issues

Recently I had to replace the heater control valve when I installed the supercharger cause the part basically broke like they normally do at 20 years old. After replacing I didn't even test the heat cause my mind was focused on other things of course

Now that the cold weather is back the heater will not work unless I manually move the cable all the way towards driver side. Air will go back to cold and back to hot with vehicle running. After I re start the vehicle no more heat?
Also there is a water gurgling noise behind dash when I drive. Tried bleeding the coolant system but to no avail.

Try using a spill free funnel (Amazon.com: OEMTOOLS 87009 No-Spill Coolant Funnel Kit, Near Universal Fitment, Translucent, 15 Piece Set, Cooling System Funnel Allows Access To Hard-To-Reach Radiators : Automotive) and elevating the front end as much as possible when you bleed the cooling system. The gurgling noise you hear is air in the system.

EDIT: Forgot to add to make sure you turn your front and rear heat on (if you have rear heat).

Just elevate with ramps or an incline and keep adding. May take a few times to get full. I’m sure the special funnel works awesome.

As far as no heat goes, you could have clogged heater cores front and rear(if equipped). Pretty common failure due to the design of the system. The $50 OTC flush gun makes short work of that task if a power flush is needed. Both of my cores were plugged solid.

I don’t know why people think coolants are a lifetime fill……
