3rd Gen Lift Install Question Please?

Did any of you install longer sway bar end links or longer tie rod end links after installing your lift? I only did a 3" lift and I was able to get them re-attached but the angel of them is a little off now....

You can use these fancy ones: Forged Ball Joint Sway Bar Links

A 3" lift is at the max of the range for stock front (and rear, really) geometry. You lost a lot of droop travel, especially with stock upper a-arms. It isn't "only" at 3"... If you want a 3" lift, a better plan is 1" body lift and 2" suspension lift. More clearance, better geometry, better articulation, same looks.

You'll probably slightly longer front swaybar links, but the tie rods should be fine - the angle they are at needs to match the lower arms, so they will look off at such a high ride height.

Make sure you get an alignment done. If you still have the stock upper a-arm, they won't be able to make it correct, but they can try to get it close.

Oh, and get new OEM lower ball joints on there ASAP if you haven't replaced them recent. And get ready to need new axles (or just boots) too.

Use the existing fronts in the back and put the 2nd gen rear links which are about an inch longer in the front.

I really like how stout the overland custom design ones have been. I’ve beat the hell out of them and they’ve held well.

I went with the sealed ball joint style, plus you can order individual pieces in the future of needed.
