Stalling at red lights
So my daughters '00 4Runner stalled twice tonight when she stopped at red lights. I guess tomorrow is diagnosis time, thought I'd ask you guys what I should be looking for as I start my investigation.
Basics:
300K
Scheduled maintenance
No idiot light on
Starts and Drives typically until tonight
It is now below 50

When was last time the MAF, IAC and intake was cleaned? Most likely the issue lies there. If it persists then move onto new plugs/wires. Luck.

A dirty Maf and, or IAC would be my first guess.

Yeah, I thought those might be the issue as well, cleaned 'em before, but it's been a while. Question: when I clean them I also run some seafoam through the motor via the brake booster vac line. That also something you do? If so, should I do the MAF/IAC pre or post foam? I think I always did post, but I also wondered when I did it. Thanks!

Seafoam or any other engine cleaner through the brake booster vacuum hose will be after MAF and IAC sensors so it will not matter

I don't think it would matter if you seafoam before or after. Seafoam will clean the carbon buildup in the system.

I have a intermittent very-low idle (380-500s) for a couple mins at startup and occasionally at the first few stops in the morning. I always warm up to at least 150 degrees if not the full 185 in the AM, but idle can still be iffy for a few miles until it settles to a healthy range. Been getting very dusty and dirty over the last year (sprayed down the MAF about a year ago). Going to look into the TB, IAC valve and MAF cleanup, soon, myself.

Stalled as she came to a stop or after stopping while idling?
If it stopped right at or just before stopping, it could also be a transmission issue.
I'd start with all the standard diagnosis things - check for cracks or leaks in the intake, chewed wires or other things out of place. Check if it idles/runs right during other operating conditions (non-car people don't often notice little issues before they become big issues).

My 2000 did the same thing a for a bit and after looking into most of the basics it ended up being the grd to body wires/connection right by the engine bay fuse block... probably not ur issue but checking the grds as others have stated wouldn't hurt, coming to a stop transferred enough energy into the connection to break said grd connection and would reconnect after coming to a full stop.
