Need a new fuel tank

Anything out there for around $200 or less? JC Whitney is always sold out. Used ones don't normally ship them for hazmat reasons I suppose. I'm not comfortable patching pin holes by myself on a fuel tank. I have no idea where else to look for one. I've checked every local salvage yard with no luck.

If it gets down to the wire for you I have had good success with POR-15 tank sealer on motorcycle tanks. I have one that had pin holes and did it 15 years ago. It's still doing fine.

The new king-of-the-heap is Caswell for tank sealing (or was a decade ago when I last needed to do one). Easily a better experience than POR-15, which I'd done a decade before that.

Pinhole patches with that stuff was stupid simple, just some tape over the holes, slosh around (as per the directions), and Bobs yer uncle. I actually patched one hole that was closer to quarter sized on a motorcycle tank.

I too have used Caswells in two motorcycle fuel tanks. Has held up well for 10+ years with no peeling or flaking.
