Do 5th Gen shocks and springs fit on 3rd Gen 4R's

I've read they do but haven't been able to confirm if this is accurate. Does anyone know?

Have you read through this thread? Can a 5th gen's Coilovers and rear springs/shock be transplanted?

Not sure about the shocks, but I know the springs fit. I have them front and rear on my truck paired with Bilstein 5100s. Rides pretty nice and gave me a mild lift.

Do you know how much of a lift it gave you? I just picked up a 97 today and looking to freshen up the suspension, but not quite ready to dig into my pockets for a 2"+ lift, diff drop, panhard kit, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Did you end up doing this 5th gen suspension? I’m looking for front shock options for it.
