comprehensive steering / suspension checklist

I'm looking for advice or tips on checking all of the steering/suspension components on my truck.

There is no leakage so I don't suspect any worn parts, but (for example) I'd rather not have a wheel come off on my way to work one day, or I'm pretty sure it's time for new shocks, but how do I really know these are shot?

Thanks for taking the time to offer any tips or tricks on checking these components.

Everything you need, or want, to know is a simple search away. The best way to search is with the external google site search, more info here (which is one of the sticky threads at the top of this forum):

Alternate Search for T4R - 3rd Gen Section

But beyond that, 2 members have gone WAY above and beyond by creating a series of comprehensive and detailed Youtube videos. You can find that thread here (also one of the sticky threads at the top):

3rd Gen T4R DIY Maintenance, Repair and Modification Videos

You might be most interested in 4, 7, 9, 12, 13, 18, 19, 27, 28... you can keep looking through the rest of the 148 videos to see what else is of interest.

The 2 important things are the lower ball joints w/ the mounting bolts and the radiator (if you're in an automatic transmission). And from personal experience, changing all of the bushings made a MASSIVE improvement in handling/ride quality.
