From reading other threads looks like folks are setting the ring to the lowest setting, but with varied results.
Just wanted to confirm to hopefully save myself some work! Where should I set the ring?

I’m running 5100s on the lowest perch with 880/906. Check out my build thread for before/after measurements and photos (link in my signature).
I got about 1” lift in the front and 2.25” in the rear (but the rear will likely settle down to 2”). I also replaced nearly every bushing on the truck with poly. That is just about perfect for me. Mild lift with some forward leaning rake when unloaded.
The amount of lift you’ll get depends on several factors.
- Factory weight? Or aftermarket armor?
- Also replacing bushings (including body mount bushings)? Or leaving old compressed bushings?
- How saggy is your original suspension?
- What year is your truck? ‘99s sat taller than some other years, so if you have a ‘99 then you’ll likely see less lift.
- Probably other stuff I’m not thinking of.
