Good catch. I didn’t think anyone even made 24 volt stuff anymore. That’s kinda cool. Last 24v unit I messed with was a D6 cat electric starter retrofit.

right the 24 V electric is a bit strange but honestly as long as you know it and take it into consideration it seems ok to me.

a lot of marine stuff is 24 V

finding parts is going to be an epic adventure for sure.

unobtainium has been obtained

The entire process of getting this beast from japan to my driveway in MN was an adventure, but mostly a nightmare.

Now to start the local DMV process so I can drive it legally.

new project input required, please advise!

Oh lordly! She’s here! She’s here!

You can’t leave us hanging like that! Tell us more about the adventure, or the nightmare.

I keep somehow, thinking, I want to entertain the idea of importing a 105 in the future once the king is satisfied with their moratorium……

I think RHD is going to stay, so far driving from the steet into the garage in RHD mode was pretty easy

that is waaaayyy too much for me, lets get her all serviced. This is the HV version of the truck so this so it has floaters in the rear. it's kind of funny the seat tack has a locking feature. You have to unlock the slider control for the seat adjust. The key also has a mechanical lock feature, you have to manually push a button to get it to release the key. They really really expected people would be driving these things upsidedown.

do it, it takes about a year from start to finish. They will tell you 3-4 months but trust me it's a year.

I had the japanese traslator mess up some stuff in the translation, delayed.
imported subbmited a blank form instead of the ones I filled out, delayed.
shipping, ddddeeeelllllaaaayyyyyed.

all the touch points now days are still back'ed up, the only part that goes smooth is your $ gets taken in no time at all.

I will start a build thread but before I do that I need to finish up my steering rack heim joint conversion, still waiting on some

still waiting on the heim part from Camburg, then I need to get some custom tie rods made up, I think I have a plan.

new project input required, please advise!

I will add it to my other build thread once it works but I think?

because both ends are different TC vs Camburg have different size heims because of course they do. I could get threaded bungs or I could just get one tube threaded for the inners and one threaded for the outers, cut those in half and weld them in the center. it's not like tie rods need to be super dead on straight, you know mostly kind of in that direction over there strait. I can do that.

custom tapped dom link.

Oh what a difference 3-4 yrs can make, Ha.
In 18 researching Harrop E-lockers talked to a few Aussies that got em dirty.
One thing led to another importing a 79 came up got deep enough to see bill of lading on some,
6 months was doable from Aus at the time not no more.
If I'd a known then what I know now, I'd a dug that lil bit deeper in my pocket, you gotta dig wwwaaaaayyyy deeper now.

Doing a OTRE flip been in the back of my mind for a while 15 yr at least. The dog leg in OE BJ casting is a issue.
How hard would it be to talk you into taking a side profile pic, looks like the dog leg has been
taken out of BJ casting comparing OE to Heim casting.

Heim conversion kit looks legit I like it, used in racing, witnessed use n abuse in heavy industrial for 40 yrs, I still pause taking that jump.

That Johnson wax some good chit.
