Vivid Lumen Foglight upgrade
Just figured I'd share. Took a chance on what I think is an up-and-coming player in the automotive lighting game? Maybe they've been around, I am not sure - I just discovered them recently.
Back-story:
I had cheap amazon amber fogs that were OK... I think one of them began to get water and or condensation in the housing and rather than take it a part and clean it - I figured I would look into a better alternative.
Not having a ton of experience with baja or rigid I had looked into those. Was on the verge of picking up a set of the baja squadrons.
Then I stumbled across a youtube video of a creator reviewing a set of these Vivid Lumen fogs. I was impressed and decided (using winnings from a fantasy football league helped too) I was going to take a chance on them. The lifetime warranty is a sweet perk too IMO...
Here are a few comparison pictures. The Vivid Lumen lights are on the left, and the cheap amazon set are on the right. Last 3 pictures are only the new VL lights.
Wish I could post these images in full resolution, but you get the idea. Getting images on this site is hard enough.
The thing I'm most impressed with is the crisp cutoff for a fog light. These are the new FNG fogs FWIW. (and no I am not affiliated just figured I'd give an honest review).
I am more-so excited to see these in the snow, if Maryland ever gets any(crosses fingers). We seem to have escaped all the fun on the east coast lately.
Cheers.
