CEL light is on. O2 sensor, water in my gas.

I have been living in Jacksonville Beach and Saint Augustine Beach for the past 3 years. Every morning my truck is soaked with humidity and condensation. I had my CEL come on and it was the O2 sensor. It goes on every few months for a few days then goes away. It has stayed on and I believe the daily condensation has got water in my gas. A man at the auto parts store down the road says people on vacation come to him almost everyday and tell him their CEL has come on after being here a few days. He says it is usually emission related and believes it is due to the near 100% humidity that forms overnight. I let the tank run down before fueling up, but I remember my father telling me he always kept the boat tanks full to prevent condensation from forming. I have put Seafoam and Stabil in my tank and ordered a new OEM fuel filter. If you live in a humid state I would recommend a keeping your tank full and adding a fuel additive. Ride on...

I'm gonna take a wild shot in the dark and say something is seriously wrong with your vehicle. If this was the norm, you would see countless posts about it from over the past 20 years to the point it would be fairly common knowledge - to that effect, those in rainy states should experience very similar results, but don't.

How do you know it has water in gas tank?

Fuel system is sealed, how would the excess moisture get in?

I live in a pretty darn humid area, central texas and visit houston and South Padre for weeks at a time, can't get more humid and I've never had that issue.

I'd check for any set or pending CELs.

Salt air is a different animal than humidity, maybe that is eating away at wiring connections?
