Ditch light brackets

Seems there are only a few options for the 3rd gen for hood or cowl mounted ditch lights from my quick research: CBI and Rago?
Both are north of $60.

I read this thread
CBI Ditch Light Brackets - An Honest Review

While it seems pretty basic I'd rather not cut the cowl but I do like a fender mount vs hood mount.

What are you all running and what do you like/dislike about them?

Did the CBI fender mount. I wasn’t keen on cutting the cowl either, however, I didn’t remove it to cut it. I just kept barely trimming until the mount fit. For me, very little was removed and definitely can’t see anything once done.

I’m happy with my mounts!

You're right, there are not many options out there. I didn't like hood mounted either so I went with the fender mount as well. I ended up cutting up my cowl as well in order to get the mount to fit, I didn't want to fork out a ton of dough either so I just made my own. I just mocked it up with cardboard and went from there.

It is possible for a clean look if you want to DIY a set that can be bolted to the A pillar, of course with some really good sealing.

I like the CBI mounts. Like the other comments, you don’t have to remove the whole cowl and you don’t have to cut that much. It doesn’t look bad. Using the hood mounts is a hell of a lot better than drilling into your body somewhere else. I’m not sure why anyone would want to do that.

I got a 10% off coupon from Rago, which paid my tax, so I pulled trigger on those.

Install is pretty straightforward and I'll update my build thread once I install them, and some lights.

Thanks, folks!
