I was just looking at some on Carparts.com I found a powder-coated black front bumper as well as a grille. So I might do that.

looks nice the thing with painting is that I don't understand how coating works and when it comes to taping my vehicle so the paint doesn't go on certain areas I just don't trust myself.

You can and should remove the bumper from the vehicle and disassemble it to coat it, regardless of whether you paint it or wrap.

The good news is practice makes perfect and you can remove paint or wrap easily. Watch some videos and practice!

One of my neighbors suggested to me, although I've never heard of it or seen it. He said there's a chrome type adhesive/tape you can put on the inside of the bumper to mask the pitting/holes the rust has caused. Possibly preventing further rust? I hate my SR5 bumper, with the 2 empty fog light holes. I'd so much rather have the fat lip, non chrome bumpers. I keep my truck as clean as possible and the rusty chrome is such an eye sore.

I've heard of some people using purple power or bleach to strip the chrome inside the corner lights. I believe they let it soak it in the housing. Haven't tried it myself, so cant verify it works. But may be worth a poke if you're looking to repaint.

Do your research, sir

"Easy" is relative to knowledge, skill and experience
