Just order through parts.toyota.com (cheapest way I've found so-far), and if you don't mind checking shipping, you can look nation-wide... right now there's a 25% discount and free shipping over $75 (might have to use a south-east dealer, not sure if it's only my region or every region has it given the banner says it's a SE only thing).

I've found 2 local dealers that will sell me parts over the counter for the online price, or place an order for local pickup (saving me shipping)
Check your closest yota dealer

You can just use the FB messenger app by itself (for this sole purpose if you wanted).
Could always use Signal or etc for your other means of communication if concerned. Just options my friend! Not a FB fan either.

I despise how Facebook is ran with their open censorship of people and information with their ridiculous Fact Checkers and that they use us as their product by working with other tech giants like Google to inundate us with ads for products they think we want. I get your position, they're pretty evil.
I stay on Facebook because I can reach more people with my YouTube videos. I've joined around 40 Toyota Enthusiast pages that I can contribute to. I know, it's not like a forum. There's a plethora of shit talking that goes along with it but there's also lots of decent people on their too contributing. If it wasn't for my YouTube channel and wanting to contribute information to the Toyota Community, I'd ditch Facebook because I don't care for what they stand for and how they do business. They have way too much power and wield that power for their own interests.
Joe Joe's prices are hard to beat and he really is a very decent guy. He's done things like personally delivering a transmission to people so they didn't have to come up with the money for the $1000 core charge. No dealer is going to do that for you. Even though I know Joe Joe can save me money, I usually order through my local dealer, Stevens Creek Toyota, because they give me a pretty good discount and have helped me countless times look up parts for the jobs I film.

I have to look for alternatives. Many cheap dealers who advertise free shipping , when it comes to small print....not alaska or hawaii. parts.toyota will not deal in alaska, and the local dealer ( only one) has the nearest competition over 300 miles away....owned by same group...and they dont give any kind of deals...and often thier prices are about 20% over what dealers charge in the lower 48.
so yep....im cheap....but try to use toyota parts when I can.

All my oem parts come from my local Toyota dealer. Being I been buying for around 30 years they have taken care of me. Granted, I am friends with the assistant manager of the department. They however, will take care of miss ordered pieces. No shipping charges and been good to me. I see a lot of dealers are not like this and that is a shame. So folks do need options. :-)

You have very good reason to despise Facebook as its a continuation of the CIA Life log project. Its quite interesting that project shut down the day Facebook went global. I personally, only use the messenger service of life log. As for the private messaging and groups a belong to.

Have you looked at partsouq or amayama? I wonder if the shipping would be any different than shipping to the continental US since both of them are located outside of North America.

Add me to the list of pleased customers from this guy! I also chatted with him on the phone as I needed a flexplate in a speedy manner-- he fulfilled my order quickly and more affordably than any other legitimate place/person.

Met him in Socal at a Toyota meet, he's legit.
Ask anyone on the 3G4R SoCal FB group and they'll vouch for him.

For used parts, try consulting with Josh Young on Facebook. He runs a business named PNW 4Runner Connection in Washington where he parts out 3rd and 4th Gen 4runners. 登录 Facebook
