If you bring Jeff some Corona the prices change for sure -- but I'm definitely with Tim about Josh Young and PNW Connection, he for sure prices everything fair.

I just got a bunch of parts from joe joe...no need to list what...but a bill from joe joe ( with shipping) was 74 bucks cheaper than mcgeorge with shipping
and everything was legit yota parts and I placed my order tuesday afternoon and had on my door step saturday....cali to Alaska

That is interesting as I've heard only good things about JoeJoe and recently asked him to make me a decent sized parts list for a manual hub conversion as well as a Valve Cover Gasket replacement with new OEM everything. After comparing that list with cart I put together from McGeorge, I found JoeJoe's quote to be about $50-$75 more expensive. Makes me wonder if I forgot to add a part or looked up something incorrectly but after much comparison it turned out to be cheaper with McGeorge.
Not trying to start an argument just felt better going to JoeJoe rather than a parts outlet however if I'm to spend $600+ on parts, I couldn't knowingly pass that savings of $75 which is a rather large gap.

After seeing Joe Joe react poorly to people wanting reassurances that a guy with two first names and a joker picture on Facebook wouldn’t disappear with their money I won’t be doing any business with him. Do I know of anyone who was ripped off by him? No, but his reaction to those that weren’t praising him left a bad impression with me. I also haven’t found anything that he can get for cheaper than I can source between online US dealers and Amayama.

I saw that same thing, I already had a bad taste in my mouth about him after seeing how snarky and persuasive he was on there, not to mention the parts I was quoted were more expensive than the ones I could get at a dealer
Also, his claim that he doesn't make a profit is total bs, nobody would run something like this (over multiple models of vehicles, not just 4runners) out just the kindness in their heart, without anything in return
I can respect a hustle, but I'm not ever going to business with the guy.

Another parts source
Hello, I have had great results from parts.toyota.com, I have purchased a lot of parts over the last couple of months due to my daughters MR 2 Spyder being involved in an accident. The way it works is you order the parts and they send them to a local dealer that you select, and the dealer notifies you when they arrive. generally, there are no shipping charges. discounts are applied when you select the dealer. hope this helps ,Ray

I mostly pull all my toyota parts from my local dealer. I have been buying parts off them for almost 30 years.
I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
I use my local dealer as they will handle wrong parts issues.
Their pricing is decent, and I have been buying so long the manager and assistant manager know me.
Granted, it's sometimes a pain to get over to it as it was 30 minutes away. We have a good relationship though.
I know some people use several online dealerships as well.

For what it's worth, I placed an order with him for a few hundred dollars worth of parts - not so much because his prices were lower, but because he said he could get some parts that every other source showed as discontinued. I triple checked that he could get them, he said he could.
Seven months later, I'm still waiting. The answer is always "parts are in transit". Perhaps they are in a row boat from Japan.
The only things I did receive from that order were LBJ boot protectors, for which he charged me way more than most other sources, and even that took three months to receive.
Like others said, I'm not here to badmouth anyone, this is just my personal experience.

I trust a company that gives me a receipt and has a return policy. Private sellers always carry a risk but normally the discount outweighs the risk. Partsouq, Rockauto.com and McGeorge tend to be my go-to's. Whoever has the lowest price on OEM parts wins. Rockauto.com is a bit tricky as most don't say "THIS IS OEM" you just have to know what company made what for Toyota.
I hope your parts do end up showing up. He's probably just drop shipping the parts from overseas.

His real name is Joseph Hudspeth (or Lundberg).
I asked him for prices on some stuff, while I was waiting on him to get back to me, I did my own research and found the parts cheaper than he could supply them from Toyota.
Other stuff that’s come to light are previous felonious charges that ‘Joe Joe’ has; shoplifting <950; stalking; firearms possession by a felon; false imprisonment; and embezzlement. (You can see the records.)
(All of which seems to be swept under the rug {deleted} by admins/mods in that group. He was also kicked out of a Tundra or sequoia group for sprouting BS about parts.)
Not saying people can’t clean themselves up; but his attitude; not really knowing what he’s talking about when it comes to some parts; and being able to get them cheaper makes sure I stay away from him.

I was tempted to use him last year when I was looking for an OEM '01 new trans. He sent me an invoice from some dealer out west with virtually no details.
No idea if there was shipping, taxes or other fees involved and no response to my repeated emails.
My momma taught me long ago, if in doubt walk away.
I did and am very happy to have dealt with Yota1 instead, not perfect but at least they answer a phone call. Luck all.

My personal experience has been 50/50. I ordered a Valve Cover Gasket set, and it was definitely cheaper than my usual local dealer that gives me a pretty decent discount. However, when I needed a Front Diff actuator, he was very rude when I asked him if he had ever heard of Partsouq.com - They had the diff actuator for 100 dollars less, shipping included, than any online source.
"There's no way that's Toyota OEM Part" "They can't sell for less than dealer cost"... blah blah. Well I got the Diff Actuator from Partsouq, and it was an OEM Part, in OEM Packaging, with the correct stamps, etc.. If it was a counterfeit, it was damn good.
Would I use him again? I don't know. I have a pretty solid deal with the local dealer that hosts the car show, so I generally just go there and pay the little bit extra.
