Transmission Part Number Advice Needed

Hello Everyone!
After many years of transmission problems and a local shop who botched a transmission rebuild; I have finally purchased a brand new transmission from Toyota.

The part number I ordered is: 3303034100

In Toyota's parts ordering system, this part number is not shown as the correct part for a 2000 Toyota 4Runner.
It does show as the correct part for a 2001-2004 Tacoma.

As far as I understand the 2001-2004 Tacoma transmission is the same as the 2000 4runner and should be compatible even though the part number is different.

Did I just make a big mistake? Can anyone confirm if this transmission will fit/be compatible with my car.
Thank you

Assuming you have a V6 manual transmission this will interchange with your transmission. 1st gen R150 Tacoma and 3rd gen R150 transmissions are interchangeable. You might have to swap some sensors but it will work.

Might try to reorder from here if you can. It’s about $2000 for me because of the promotional sale they have going on right now. toyota Tacoma Manual Transmission. MTM, Driveline - 3303034100 | Serra Toyota, Birmingham AL

Edit: got it down another $175 by using code FREESHIP
