OEM Bug Deflector Part Number

Can anyone confirm if this OEM Bug deflector part number PT42789011 is this style in the picture? Just want to make sure it wraps around the fender. I have a 99 limited if that matters. (PT42789011 - Toyota Hood Protector | Toyota, Gladstone OR)

That is a correct part number. It's either PT427-89011 or PT427-89990. One of these is for the hood scoop and one is for without.
Can't remember which one was for the hood scoop. At the time I bought both and didn't notice any difference between the two.
Here it is on mine

Looks like the 89990 is for the sport. Thanks for the info.

This is an oem bug deflector that comes with new foam plugs and template of where to put them along with new pins.
Toyota part number PT427-89011 on a 1998 with a newer grille and headlights.

As @jrm stated, AVS makes it. I'm currently rocking one and absolutely loving it. I opted for the one that doesn't go over the fender, just the length of the hood. It's held up well so far and I think it looks great. So AVS would be the way to go, if I were you.

Gee thanks toyota..

Anyway the same 3rd gen specific hood deflector that covers the hood and fenders is available from AVS:

Auto Ventshade [AVS] Bugflector II / Hood Shield | Dark Smoke | 25116 | Fits 1996 - 2002 Toyota 4Runner

Amazon link (not sure how long it will last) : Amazon.com: Auto Ventshade [AVS] Bugflector II / Hood Shield | Dark Smoke | 25116 | Fits 1996 - 2002 Toyota 4Runner : Automotive

You are correct sir, avs and oem are identical. I actually got a oem and it had some flaws, so I got a avs

It shows to fit 01/02 4Runners so I don't see why it wouldn't fit 96-02 4Runners

I bought mine within the last year or 2. I can look up the date if anyone wants to know. Maybe the AVS is better for some. I like mine and I bought 2. I hope they didn't change them as that would be a bummer..

Worse case scenario you could always return it for free! The AVS comes with the needed hardware for install.
