Thumbs up 96' 4Runner 3.4L V-6 Auto/ Need more power and don't want to screw up computer.

Thank you for the reply, I will take it out as soon as I get a chance. I just hope I can get my money back, it was $100 from Summit. Is there anything I can do to my engine for more power that is not big $$ and won't screw with my computer?? 96' 4Runner 3.4L V-6 Auto

Take it out and see if you can get your money back. TB Spacers are the most worthless mod you can do to an MPFI engine, period, short of zip tie-ing some magnets on your fuel line.

TB spacers do nothing because there is nothing they change except maybe plenum volume at most. Spacers were originally designed for carbureted engines to allow the fuel to atomize better and give it a bit longer runner length to drop the torque band a bit lower. Plus they made a great little spot to install some nitrous nozzles.

On a MPFI (Multi Port Fuel Injection) engine, the fuel is sprayed through an injector just in front of the intake valve. The spacer is nowhere near the incoming air/fuel charge, so all it does is make your throttle body set a bit farther away from your intake, and make your wallet a bit lighter.

You, my friend, got hosed. Let's hope you still have your reciept and can get a refund or you will have a nice paperweight laying around.
