Start by checking all the hoses for cracks, dry rot snug fit etc. It could be a simple vacuum leak. Also What are your fuel trims if they are negative 30s or so then you might have a leaky fuel injector or a FP regulator. purge valve for thé gas tank etc.

Guess I will revive my short lived thread..whoops

Well it is now 2023 and I have made some progress on my 4r. 1st Frank got some free 2021 4Runner TOR rear springs! That fixed my sag and has him sitting level now. I also fixed my dreaded P0172! Turns out it was a bad injector and put in 6 rebuilts from CS Performance. Now I am pricing out a lift kit for the ol bastard.

For the bad, I got my cats stolen Following that I welded in a straight pipe and o2 fouler and went along with no issues other than some stinky cold mornings. I am also still struggling with my soft brakes. I have bled and bled and bled so I am officially ruling that out. I think the problem lies in the rear since when bleeding the rear, the pedal seemed to not fall as far/fast as the fronts. And also my zero faith parking brake. I took everything apart, bled some more, replaced some stuff, put it back together, and still my parking brake over adjusts the driver side, and becomes so tight 7 clicks is using Hercules strength and doesnt hold Frank on most inclines. Any help is much obliged.

Thanks for catching up, will try to keep the updates coming now that house renovations are over. Gotta get a damn picture uploaded too!

Here’s my current Frank picture. Fading paint had me considering raptor lined fender flares and maybe respraying the body. Not sure but definitely needs spacers and a 2” lift

Another update, got a cheap second hand roof rack, added some wheel spacers, now looking at lift kits. Chasing some silly maintenance items currently but hopefully will get them ironed out soon. Also thinking a summer project will be painting this old sun faded truck. Can’t decide if I want to go easy raptor liner or full blown paint matched look. Either way hope everyone is doing well!
