Mitchell Repair Guides

Random non 4Runner question - does anyone have access to the Mitchell repair guides?

I'm working with my dealer to try and get a labor hrs time to replace just the rear valve cover gasket on my 2005 Highlander. AllData says 2.4 hrs to do both and 1.5 to do just one. I suggested 2.0 hrs to do just the rear and drop in 3 plugs while back there.

They said they don't use AllData they use Mitchell and that 2.0 hrs was too low. Have not heard what they think is reasonable yet so wanted to see if anyone could tell me what Mitchell says.

BTW - just an FYI I had a conversation with Toyota several years ago on another subject and they let me know that dealers are not required to follow the Toyota specified time guides on anything other than warranty work.

I have access at my work. I’ll try to remember to look it up on Monday for you.

ProDemand only lists a time to do both valve covers for 3.0 hours with a 0.1 hour add for each bank of spark plug tube seals. Spark plugs list for 2.6 hours. I've never done the job so I couldn't tell you what the labor split to do just one valve cover gasket would be and in my opinion I would replace both anyways.
