Radiator dimensions and aftermarket bumper.

Preface: I have a Shrockworks bumper on my 2000.

So with a 22 year old radiator that recently cracked, I set about buying a replacement. Found the denso OEM for a great price. Upon attempting to install it, I find that it is 1/2” wider than the original. The replacement would fit between the frame rails but not in between the bumper mounting brackets like the original did. So now I have a radiator that I can’t use. Needing a solution.

Anyone else run into this issue?

I can’t trust anything now that says “direct fit OEM” because of this.

Measurement between brackets is 26.5”

I ran into the same issue last summer as the Shrockworks front bumper leaves very free space in the front end. After an incredibly frustrating afternoon of troubleshooting and trying to work around the issue I ended up returning the Denso back to Amazon and picking up an OEM radiator from the dealership.

No way to move the mounts? I’m wondering if there were two offerings from the start?

I ran into the EXACT same issue on my truck. Took everything apart and went to install the Denso I purchased and it didn't fit with the Shrockworks bumper. I wound up installing a Spectra Brand one from the local auto parts store because I was in a pinch and it was in stock. I actually had to pick it up on a bicycle, that was fun, lol!! Been in there a few years now, no issues. If I wasn't in such a pinch to get it back on the road I would have looked into something higher quality like a Koyorad branded one.

I shaved down the brackets on my radiator to fit between the shrockworks bumper mount brackets... And it still rubs on the radiator skid.

So yeah, same issue here.

Thanks for the replies. The Napa brand radiator fit like the original. I shipped the Denso back.
