No ACC or ignition power.

Can anyone help me locate this relay please/? Long story short. After re-doing my aftermarket head unit (I think we used a bad ground but can't be certain) Now, I cannot get the ACC on (dash lights or any acc power) which leads to ignition which also won't start. I had an electrician, 4runner guru and my brother over the weekend and were still at a loss. We have checked the fuses and relays minus the one pictured above in yellow I cannot locate. We are at a complete loss as to why we can't get this truck to start.

If you are talking about the highlighted/circled part on the wiring diagram, that is your ignition switch which will be on the back of the ignition cylinder housing.

Not a problem man. Just wanted to make sure I was looking at what you were looking at. I don't have any photos of it, and I couldn't find any photos of it specifically online either. It should be located on the back of the ignition cylinder housing, essentially the opposite end of where you put the key in.

You're welcome and good luck! One last thought. If you haven't checked the fuses going to the ignition switch I would make sure they are good as well.

Battery and Terminals are reading proper on the multimeter, and anything that uses battery power but doesn't need the ACC on, headlights, dome. Are fine, no dimness.

Spart, funny you mentioned that. Just tonight I went to Autozone to get a new AM1 and AM2. The guy working there said to bring my old ones in to double check. He said those fuses could be a millimeter off and won't work?

I located AM1 and 2, but for the life of me I don't know how to pull them out? I can get their clear cover off but that's it.

Will have to lift the fuse box out. There are tabs then unbolt em from the bottom.
at about the 10 minute mark @sleepydad shows how to lift up the fuse box in the engine bay.

Thank you all again, tremendously from the bottom of my heart. Spartacus nailed it on the head. Turned out to be the AM1 fuse. Luckily it's not one that was bolted in so no need to take the whole fuse box out.

I'm still confused as to why it was a problem under the hood and not under the dash (where we did the ground for the backup cam).

One thing to note, as I'm not technically car savvy. We never disconnected the battery before installing the new head unit. Would you guys suggest doing so for any future electrical work?

You have no idea how relived I was to see the dash lights come on. In the back of my head I swore I was going to have to buy a new ECU or something of the sorts.

You guys all rock!

Glad you got it sorted. It's a good idea to disconnect the battery negative so nothing will power on and blow fuses or get zapped worst case blow an amp. All is well that ends well.

Yes agree with disconnecting the ground off the battery is never a bad idea when working on things.
