Sounds like a $1500 to me, if everything u named needs to be replaced then the rest of the vehicle hasn't been cared for and there r probably many many hidden issues, ur basically selling a rust free roller...?

I'm 6'2 and the only issue I have is getting in. Once in, I'm good.
Why not post a link to your current FS as for us to comment?

Sounds like you need to price it accordingly. You could relist it with some good photos, and a higher start price, so you can end up closer to your basement number. Or you can spend to do a timing belt job, and seal the valve cover leaks. Maybe you could splash on a cheap refresh paint job.
Thing is, those are all things I would do myself, including paint.
Another option is to donate the car to an organization that is setup for it, and you can take a tax credit for it. If the tax credit doesn’t help you then that’s irrelevant.
Good luck. Myself and my wife are both 5’11”. We fit just fine.

Thank you for your input. My wife has a taller torso so her head it in the sunroof if she leans on the center console. It's an issue with most vehicles we've tried.

Thank you all for your input. Most of you have constructive input, and I appreciate it. I am not looking to get rich. Just want to get rid of it. I might just take it to a dealership and get $2000 out of it (like Carmax offered) just to get it out of my driveway.

yea it sounds like you really want this thing gone asap and if no one is coming close to even that price...I'd likely just send it down and be done with it.
we all know the car game....you win some, but you lose most lol

If it’s the same ad I’ve seen then yeah it’s 2wd and looks to be needing rear springs as it’s got a nice squat

ya I'd have to agree with those who say you probably paid too much for this truck. I have had a 2000 RWD with 220k miles and in pretty close to perfect condition on the market for months and the best I have been offered is $5500.

Plus you could easily replace the seat and rails to add more headroom

Well, my wife thought my highlander was a total shit box when I bought it. And it was. She gave me a lot of grief about it. Dents, gorilla glued bondo rear panel, hilariously worn out plugs to where it couldn’t even drive right, original shocks that certainly not dampening. Leaking oil at the cooler, valve covers, (always smelled with that shit on the manifolds cooking off), and a leaky radiator with a craptastic resin patch job on the upper tank. You know. So you get that lovely signature shit box steam under the hood. I saw the potential. Everyone else thought it was a shitbox galore.
Now here we are, $1,000 in body work, 6112/5160 lift, tires, tint, steering wheel, radiator, condenser, unclogged heater cores, and a tune up, etc, (more fun parts yet to go)……..she thinks it’s a *****in’ ride and loves to take it to work when she does. To the point she even wants a 5th gen now because she likes my 3rd gen so much.
Shitbox to hero is very possible. This kind of sounds like a case of the Op’s wife just didn’t like it (the 3rd gen this thread is about )to me, which is possible. Like I said, my wife thought our beater 3rd gen was a joke early on too.

Facebook Marketplace has become what Craigslist used to be, a bunch of low-ballers and no-shows. About 1 in every 10 people contacting are actually legit.
Where I live there's a owner-managed used car lot that I sold one of my 4Runners at. It was $50 for 3 weekends and it sold the first weekend. Anything like that in your area? It allows the tire kickers to take a look without wasting your time and the only people that contact are serious buyers. I sold my 4Runner to a couple looking to buy a vehicle for their daughter and her not-so-great boyfriend. He crashed it in 2 weeks.

you're in utah like I am, try KSL. My friend had good luck selling his 97 on there for 4500$. He's also bought two motorcycles and a Tundra with all good experiences.

lol right? I've sold a lot of cars n trucks because I get bored easy or realize I made a stupid purchase. I've had people buy some stupid vehicles of mine, like a Chevy 1500 that had huge M/T's on it so I could barely even turn a corner without rubbing......what'd the guy say during our test drive "oh i know, but rubbing is normal!!!".......whatever you say buddy, gimme your cash!!
